Kasanggayahan Festival: Sorsogon’s Joy

During the past few days from October 17 until this present day we are currently celebrating the Kasanggayahan Festival- an annual festivity to commemorate the founding anniversary of the Sorsogon Province. The festival is emphasized by the elegant “Pantomina sa Tinampo” Pantomina- a traditional Bicol dance, is known as the dance of love or courtship and even referred to as the dance of the doves or “salampati” It imitates the graceful movements of the doves while dancing, but it only here where we dance it on the streets or “tinampo” Here are some lively photos of the Kasanggayahan Festival 2018 to give you the real “Sorsoganon” feel 😉
